Adiyaman is located to the west of the Southeastern Anatolia Region. The history of Adıyaman, which is one of the oldest settlements in the world, dates back to the first ages. This city is an important culture and tourism city which has been the center of many different cultures. According to King Antiochos’s inscriptions, Arsameia Archaeological Site was founded in the east of Kahta River by Arsemia, the ancestor of the Kommagene in the early 2nd century BC.
It was the summer capital and administrative center of the kingdom.

There is an airport in Adıyamanda (Adıyaman Airport). However, this airport is only available for domestic flights. Therefore, those who want to come from outside Turkey, it is advisable to use indirect flights via Istanbul or Ankara.
